Moving Forward!

Moving Forward!

Hello Everyone, Today has been a good day overall. It’s interesting to me that I seem to have three sections of my day. The morning, afternoon and evening. This morning, my morning was rough. I slept about 6 hours, which was great, but I was really really weak, and I was really sore. I am learning that just laying around all day really isn’t good for me. I have joints that hurt and sore back and hips, but find that…

Sabbath Day

Sabbath Day

Today Nate started out not feeling well. Everything is so new it is a guessing game what might be going on. Some research on his part and a call to the Dr gave us some things to try and by afternoon he was feeling a bit better. Unable to have the strength to go to church we were able to make the Sabbath day special for him. The sacrament was brought in by the Young Men– thank you! Nate’s cousin…

A Better day😊

A Better day😊

Today one of our Doses of Joy came from Nate’s Ward (congregation) who came over and helped with the Fall haul. That is where you can put out anything on the curb twice a year and the city will come with a backhoe and dump truck and haul away for no charge! With all the recent remodeling and a chicken coup they wanted to get rid of there was lots to do. Nate was unable to help but at the…

Hard Day

Hard Day

This morning Nate ate a little breakfast then in anticipation of the nurse coming to change his wound vac he took pain meds and promptly began to throw up everything he had ate. 1/2 hr later the nurse arrived and with no pain meds inside him when she changed the wound pack it was extremely painful and brought me to tears twice to see him hurt so bad. The nurse has to remove the tape and packing in the open…

2 Weeks…

2 Weeks…

I just can’t believe it has been two weeks today since my life altering surgery to remove the C. Diff infection in my large intestines. Here I am, sitting in the comfort of my living room surrounded by family. I am so so grateful for the tender mercies of the Lord. My sister Krystal posted this on Facebook a short time ago: Two weeks ago today, my life changed. While we are so thankful for the outcome, I’ll never forget…

Labor of Love❤️

Labor of Love❤️

Nate’s first full day home. He woke up extremely exhausted but as the day went on with many small meals, LOTS of liquid and a home health nurse visit he did pretty good. Thought I would share for the last 4 days before Nate came home we had a major remodeling party to get the house ready and more comfortable for their family. Alicia and the children traveled to Arizona for a family wedding. Alicia’s dad Gene flew in to…

It feels so good to be Home!

It feels so good to be Home!

Miracle Man is home! We are all amazed. This morning the Drs said you can go home. With apprehension Nate said “Are you sure?” As the day went on and he was unhooked from his TPN IV nutrition and got up and walked he began to think I want to be home. They arrived home at 7:30 tonight! He is exhausted but first thing he had us do is all kneel down including himself for family prayer. Nate offered it…

Aunties Are Here!

Aunties Are Here!

Hi Family & Friends of Nate!  This is Aunt Jenni.  Both my sister and I came in from Seattle to spend the weekend with Nate.  I know all of you have been asking how he is doing — and I can update that he has made significant progress daily since his very dire situation of last Thursday.   It truly is a miracle!  He is down to only one tube connected to his body (prior his body was being kept…
