Christmas and more…

Christmas and more…

Well, time for another post. Christmas was great. I have had a rough couple of days. But Christmas was amazing and just full of surprises for the kids, Alicia, and I. I am still not able to drain anything. We tried again last night. So, just to be sure, on Thursday Alicia and I went into the ER and got some blood work done and a CT Scan. I have been getting more and more fatigued. And loosing some control…

Christmas Eve

Christmas Eve

This past week Nate was able to have visitors, go watch a foose ball competition of some of his buddies. He got his hair cut and made it too church, all goals he set. Nate had his 3rd immunotherapy today. He is super weak. They tested his blood and his Calcium level is high which can cause extreme nausea and fatigue. This could explain why he can’t keep a lot down. He is now down to 168lbs. They gave him…

Trading Places

Trading Places

No that’s NOT Nate. Nate’s Dad Scott decided Nate had been in the hospital enough so he took his place today:). Truth is Scott had day surgery. He had 3 kidney stones removed from his right Kidney, one stuck in tube and 2 in the upper kidney. A bit crazy commute to hospital 18 miles away during a huge wind and rain storm. There was wide spread power outages but the hospital was spared. Our Power at home was out…

What a weekend…

Sorry everyone for not writing for a few days again. I am trying 😉  Well, I last posted when I got out of the hospital on Thursday of last week. It’s Monday morning as I write this. Friday evening we had the Krog family come and bring dinner and stay and visit for a few hours. It was fun to catch up and talk about all the things going on.  Saturday was rough. I didn’t sleep well at all. No…

In the ER, are the same routine, they start an IV, blessing though it only took one poke this time! Another CT scan showed the Cancer has…

More Miracles

More Miracles

Hello! After my rough day yesterday, I still had my goal of getting to Sacrament meeting at Church today. I woke up not feeling great, but pushed through throwing up and trying to keep some food down. We drained 500ML from my left side, which has not drained in weeks. This actually caused quite a bit of pain. I still had pain on my right side from the night before and then this pain added to it. Causing me all…

Second Treatment

Hello Everyone, Got my second immunotherapy treatment done today. Next one scheduled for Christmas Eve. Was pretty tired after, so went home and took a nice nap. Now we just wait and heal. I was able to walk to the neighbors, Bro Kemp tonight for a quick FHE. So, I am really trying to find the desire to get up and move. Its not easy for me, when its so easy to just lay here and sleep. But if I…

Moments to Celebrate

Moments to celebrate. Friday was A truly blessed day the wound vac is over❗️❗️❗️for Nate. He has healed enough on his incision to not need it. Now it will be simple dressing changes instead of painful procedures for this pin cushion guy😊❤️ Yesterday he got out of the house for the first time in a week and went and visited his neighbor Brother Kemp. Both are huge steps forward. Tomorrow he will have #2 immunotherapy treatment. So tonight counting our…
